Okay, I don’t quiteremember who came up with the foundational idea for this. I think the concept popped up in a conversation I had with my buddy, Kyle. I want to say he suggested it as such: a comic strip with two slacker superheroes sitting on a roof ledge, looking over the city, talking. That’s pretty much it.
I haven’t been able to escape the idea since (it’s been years now). And I never really develop the proper momentum for such things with good timing. I’m in the middle of writing a new book, a collection of short stories, and a one-shot comic. As I write this, I have 15 minutes until I leave for work and I haven’t even started getting ready.
But here it is…
It’s gonna be rough, irregular, and more than likely short-lived. Take the above idea, throw in some Wes Anderson, introspection, and that Kids in the Hall head-crusher sketch. That’s what I’m going for. I already drew the first one. Once I have a few more, I’ll start posting them. Stay tuned.
